Description
Ascorbic Acid presents as white or faintly yellowish crystals or powder, with a slightly acidic taste. Its melting point ranges from 190°C to 192°C. It is highly soluble in water, sparingly soluble in alcohol, and insoluble in ether, chloroform, and other organic solvents. In its solid state, it remains stable in air. However, its aqueous solution is prone to change when exposed to air.
Applications
