Description
L - HPC is a cellulose derivative. Its unique structure, characterized by a relatively low degree of hydroxypropyl substitution, endows it with multiple functionalities. Firstly, it serves as an outstanding disintegrant in solid oral dosage forms such as tablets and capsules. When in contact with gastrointestinal fluids, L - HPC rapidly imbibes water, swelling and generating internal forces that break the tablet or capsule matrix, facilitating the release of the active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) for better absorption.
